# System Requirements

## Browser

Kino works best in the latest Chrome.

The app currently warns on non-Chrome browsers, including Arc. Use Chrome for file ingest, local playback, timeline import, and export.

Safari, Firefox, Arc, Edge, and Brave are not supported for production editing workflows.

## Hardware

Kino uses your GPU for video decoding and browser-rendered playback. Any modern computer with a dedicated or integrated GPU works.

For the best experience with 4K+ footage:

* Dedicated GPU (NVIDIA, AMD, or Apple Silicon)
* 16GB+ RAM
* SSD storage for local files

## Mobile

Kino is designed for desktop. Mobile browsers have limited support.
